Gwen
Gwen Pratt is a well known Australian
artist, winner of many prizes, who has exhibited
widely in Australia as well as London and Paris.
She commenced art lessons at the
age of 12, won the Sulman Prize at age 14, and has
been taught by some of Australia’s top artists,
including J S Watkins, Joshua Smith, Henry Hanke,
Douglas Pratt and Allen Hansen.
She was made a fellow of the Royal
Art Society of Australia in 1970, has been hung in
the Archibald and Portia Geach shows, and has twice
judged the Sydney Royal Show. She is represented
in the UK, France, Germany and the USA.
The Art Curator of the US Embassy
in Paris, said last year that Gwen’s paintings
were among the best he had seen in Australia.
